I often think theres no better way to start a day than by watching a sunrise, especially a sunrise over the sea. In this particular shot which I photographed on one of my local beaches the first moments of the day were just incredible. The waves seemed humbled as they fell upon the safety of the shore. The majesty of the sun dispelled the remnants of darkness, painting huge segments of the scene with a magnificent glow. To me, such glorious sunrises speak of hope. The anxieties of our modern lives were never meant to be inescapable; with each new day there comes the opportunity for a fresh beginning.
